I know what you're thinking.  Why does the world need another place supplying more novelty mugs with humorous images or sayings on them, when there are already plenty of sites out there?  Well, I had this thought too.  Yet, I decided to put up this site anyway. 

This is a side gig; Curt and Surly is run by a mid-level bureaucrat, possibly like you.  I like to think I have a knack for writing, and I work in a place that could be considered an incubator for acerbic wit.  Other sites seem to go to extremes with their humor, either super vulgar, or ultra-vanilla.  Their mugs have their place, but they wouldn't fly in my office, so I decided to make my own.  This way, my coffee was accented with the kind of humor my friends and I wanted, and I got a creative outlet to share that humor with the world.  I take pride in pushing the envelope with subtle, poorly veiled undertones.  Kind of like the dirty jokes adults told at family occasions when they thought you were too young to understand.  You knew there was something funny, and you thought you knew what it was, but you couldn't quite put your finger on it and no one was going to go out of their way to explain it to you since it was inappropriate to begin with.
